In the screen leading to Messhina Valley, there is a river that you can fish in.

[edit] Riverbank

Messhina Valley's first screen. As the name states, there is a river here that runs through the bottom of the screen. There are four squares of 9x9 tillable plots here. In the middle of the screen, there is a Grape Tree with four Grapes. There is one Monster Generator that sends out a Goblin during the day and the night. In the Second Generation, during the day, the Goblin is accompanied by a Flower Lily. During the night, there are two Flower Lilies, and one Cluckadoodle. After you take out the Monster Generator, the Cluckadoodle is replaced by another Flower Lily. There is a gate near the middle of the screen in the north that leads to the Ruins. The path on the left leads to the Path to Mountain.

[edit] Path to Mountain

The area west of Riverbank. The river seen in the previous screen continues to run through the left side of this screen. A bridge crosses over this river and leads to Serene Garden. There are two Monster Generators here. One is near the entrance, sending out a Goblin at day and night. In the Second Generation, it instead sends out a Goblin Archer and Flower Lily during the day. At night, the Goblin Archer is replaced by a Chipsqueek. Another is at the most northern point of the screen on the mountain itself, sending out a Goblin Archer at day and night. In that area, there are two rocks that can be used to mine. The gate at the right of that area blocks Withered Road.

[edit] Serene Garden

The area beyond the bridge seen in Path to Mountain. At the northern area, there path that leads to Bridge to Shrine. There is one Monster Generator here that sends out a Buffamoo during the day, and a Cluckadoodle at night. In the Second Generation, it will send out a Weegull and Goblin Archer during the day, and a Chipsqueek and Hornet at night. The Generator is left of the two brown rocks. To get to it, you need to smash them. Beyond the rocks are two squares of 9x9 tillable plots, and a fishing area. If you proceed south, you will find gates that lead to Giant Boulder. By using Inquisitive Waltz, you can find Carrot, Black Grass, Medicinal Herb, and Potato.

[edit] Bridge to Shrine

The area north of Serene Garden. There are no Monster Generators here, as it is the home to the Bane Dragon, the only moster you will be able to fight. Not much is here. At the beginning of the bridge, there is a Save Point. The only thing you can really do here is fish. The bridge is bordered by water on both sides.

[edit] Giant Boulder

This area can only be accessed in the Second Generation!
If you pass the gates at the bottom of Serene Garden, you will reach this area. There are two Grapevines in the east here that bear a few Grapes. There are two Monster Generators here: One below the Grapevines, and one in the west. The one near the Grapevines sends out a Buffalo in the day, and a Buffamoo at night. The one in the west sends out two Flower Lilies during the day and the night. In the center of the screen, there is a Rune Flower. By using Inquisitive Waltz here, you can find Medicinal Herb, Yellow Grass, and Pom-Pom Grass. There are also a few fishing locations here.

This area can only be accessed in the Second Generation!
To get to Withered Road, you must go through the gates at the top of Path to Mountain. There is one Monster Generator here in the northern area. During the day, it sends out 2 Hobgoblins and a Goblin Sniper. At night, it sends out 2 Queen Bees and a Furpuff. Behind the Generator are a couple of rocks that can be used for mining. There is also a Rune Flower here in the middle of the path that leads to the Ruins. By using Inquisitive Waltz here, you can find Yam, Charm Blue, and Yellow Grass.

This area can only be accessed in the Second Generation!
There is one Monster Generator here that sends out 2 Blackbirds and a Goblin Archer during the day. At night, it sends out 3 Queen Bees. Around the center of the screen there are 2 Rune Crystals. Scattered around the area are rocks that can be used to mine. If you travel north, you will reach the entrance to Cave - Small Room. If you pass the gates in the south, you'll be brought back to Riverbank. If you go east, you'll be taken to Holy Statue.

[edit] Cave - Small Room

This area can only be accessed in the Second Generation!
There is one Monster Generator here that sends out 2 ghosts during the day and the night. There are a handful of rocks around that can be used to mine. By using Inquisitive Waltz, you can find Gunpowder, Pom-Pom Grass, Bronze, and Medicinal Herb. If you go north, you will be taken further into the Cave system.

[edit] Holy Statue

This area can only be accessed in the Second Generation!
There is one Monster Generator here near the top of the screen, at the end of the stairs. There are a few brown rocks that block the stairs, so unless you use magic, you need to crush one of the rocks with your hammer, then attack in manually. It sends out a Blackbird and Hobgoblin during the day, and two Queen Bees and a Furpuff at night. There are four squares of 9x9 tillable plots here. The entrance in the north leads to Cave - Hall.

This area can only be accessed in the Second Generation!
Another screen of the Cave system. There are two Monster Generators here: One in the north, and one in the south. The northern one sends out two Ghosts in the day, and only one in the night. The southern one sends out a Little Mage during the day, and two in the night. If you use Inquisitive Waltz here, you can find Medicinal Herb, Black Grass, and Gunpowder. There are also some rocks here that you can use to mine. There are two paths here, both leading to Cave - Altar. However, they both lead to different areas of that screen.

[edit] Cave - Altar

This area can only be accessed in the Second Generation!
This screen is split into two different areas. The main area can be accessed by taking the northern path of Cave - Altar. A smaller area, containing only rocks which can be used for mining, can be accessed by taking the southern path.

[edit] Altars

  • First Altar

The First Altar, located at the Ruins, requires you to defeat 3 Buffalo at Giant Boulder. Once you've done that, return to it. It will then request you to defeat 4 Queen Bees at Holy Statue. Lastly, it will require you to defeat 5 Hobgoblins at Withered Road.

  • Second Altar

The Second Altar, located at Holy Statue, requires that you sow crops in every field at Holy Statue. The crops you choose don 't matter. All the crops must be ripe for the altar to dissolve.

  • Third Altar

The Third Altar, located at Cave - Hall, first requests that you bring it 5 'precious metal[s] with a silver luster'. The metal in question is Silver. Once you've brought it one, it will then request 15 'completely worthless metal[s]'. The metal in question is Scrap Iron. It will then dissolve.

  • Fourth Altar

You will only have access to the fourth altar once you've beaten the Bane Dragon. It will disappear once you approach it.
