Harvest Moon: Shining Sun and Friends is the sequel game to the popular and well-known Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness game.

Location

Harvest Moon: Shining Sun and Friends is the 7th Harvest Moon game to be played on the Nintendo DS. The game is said to be the sequel to Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness. Instead of only one island like there was for the previous game there are now five islands. These five islands are all apart of one great, big land region called the Sunflower Archipelago. Hinata Island from Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness can be seen from this region. You can choose to be a boy (Mark) or a girl (Chelsea) as your gender such as you could in Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness. The other islanders are the same as they are from the Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness game. Returning characters are the whole main cast from Island of Happiness (Valts, Pierre, Natalie, Chen, etc) and a few new characters such as the Witch Princess's niece, Will (a rich marriage candidate for Chelsea), and Suiren (a Chinese marriage candidate for Mark).
