A Wonderful Life was the first game in the Harvest Moon series to hit the Gamecube. The game consists of raising animals, growing crops, befriending villagers, choosing a spouse, and raising your child. Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life simulates the day-to-day life of a farmer with seasons passing, children aging, plants and animals growing, and more! Before you know it you will be balancing relationships with making your farm the best it can be.

After your father died, his best friend Takakura took over his farm in Forget-Me-Not Valley. Years later, Takakura brings you to the farm in hopes of teaching you the tools of the trade. The story is divided into six chapters will you will learn the tools of the trade, marry and raise a family, and hopefully turn your father's farm into the success he wanted it to be!

[edit] Gameplay

You play as a young man, living in Forget-Me-Not Valley. Your goal is to get married, make you farm successful, and live "A Wonderful Life" with help from the Harvest Sprites and your fellow villagers. You may pass your time in many ways in this game including:

  • Raising Animals
  • Growing Crops
  • Fishing
  • Mining
  • Befriending Villagers,
  • Raising your Son (Second chapter and onward)
  • Mini-Games
  • Exploring the Village

As you start off you will be trying out new things, exploring the village and learning the basics of the game. You will find at the beginning you will be doing simple tasks, such as collecting flowers and developing friendships but you were quickly learn the inner-workings of the game. There are always new thing to learn; you can make new breeds of plants and experiment with the different types you can create, learn to look after your animals better to get higher quality products, and more.

You also have the option to link up Harvest Moon friends of Mineral Town on the Game Boy Advance. By doing so, you will unlock new items to buy from Van.
