Getting the Fishing Rod

In order to fish, you need to get the fishing rod. If you go down to the harbor, you should find Toby. Talk to him, and you'll receive a free rod. Simple, right?

The rod works just like any other tool. Upgrading your fishing rod increases the chance you have of getting the higher-grade fishies, as well as letting you cast farther.

Depending on the season or the weather, you can find different types of fish everywhere. Also depending on the level of fishing rod you have, you can catch different types of fish, and different sizes, which can be useful if you want to sell your fish or use it in quality cooking! ( WIP )
