Festivals

Flower Bud Village is very festive, and has many festivals throughout the year. You can even get more by getting married and having an anniversary, or celebrating someone's birthday, even your child's. Some festivals require a donation from you to the donation box in order to be initiated.

Contests

Some festivals are more like contests where you compete with the other villagers. Usually your competitor is Jamie, your rival, while some contests are against 3 other people. When your animal wins a festival, it will be worth more when you sell it.

Contests:

Spring Horse Race:

Once you have a fully grown horse that you are able to ride, you can enter it in a horse race. You will begin to play the horse race mini-game, and the first one to cross the finish line will win the race. There are several levels to the horse race. You can enter a new level if you have more hearts with your horse. The prizes get better as the level goes higher.

Cow Festival:

When you have a fully grown cow, you can enter it in the Cow Festival. To win first place, your cow must be healthy and has 7 or more hearts.

Beach Festival:

You can automatically enter the Beach Festival if you want. Here, you'll be playing the swimming mini-game, where you have a race to see which character can touch all the first. If you win, you'll get a prize.

Sheep Festival:

A time to show off your sheep. You can enter once you have a fully grown sheep that's not shaved. You can win first place if your sheep has seven or more hearts.

Fall Horse Race:

Once you have a fully grown horse that you are able to ride, you can enter it in a horse race. You will begin to play the horse race mini-game, and the first one to cross the finish line will win the race. There are several levels to the horse race. You can enter a new level if you have more hearts with your horse. The prizes get better as the level goes higher.

Chicken Festival:

A contest to see who has the best chicken. You can enter once you own a fully grown chicken. To win first place, your chicken must have seven or more hearts.
