In cooking, you can make a selection of different dishes using different utensils.

Forging

As the game progresses, Leo will have more weapons available for sale. Each time you clear a cave his inventory will expand. His stock will also change depending on the season you currently are in. The items he sells are used for when you start crafting your own weapons and shields. You can make them on your own, but often it's more of a burden to collect the items required compared to simply visiting Leo's shop and purchasing what you require.

Decoration

Your character can have 2 decoration equipped in his inventory. The decorations adjust your stats to prevent status effects or increase your own stats. You can switch out your decorations at any time.

Some of the items can be purchased from Jean's store, but the better items can only be manufactured with your workshop.

One of the best combinations is the Luck Blade in combination with a Critical Ring or Critical Seven decoration. The Luck Blade already has 40% increase to Critical Attacks, but when you add the Critical Ring (+20%) or Critical Seven (+7%) and you can inflict massive damage against your enemies.

There is no restriction to the types of decorations you can equip. You could equip two of the same decoration if you wanted to.

Pharmacy

To recover your health while dungeon exploring, you can bring potions with you in your rucksack. The medicine can be purchased from Edward's clinic or you can make it yourself with the dispensing counter built into your house upgrade.

Status recovery potions are fairly easy to produce, but you will need to hunt down the seasonal wild grasses necessary to mix them. The HP recovery potions can only be produced if you have Empty Bottles. There are 4 available in the game:

• Check the dresser to the right of the fireplace inside of Mist's house
• Down in Jasper's basement, investigate the pile of boxes in the southeast corner
• Win the Egg Contest on Spring 23
• Win the Exploration Tournament on Summer 26

The other types of medicine you can make with your Pharmacy counter can permanently increase the stats of your character. You can customize your hero to have a lot of Dex, more Strength, or increase his Intelligence needed for more powerful magic spells.
