Time stops in the mine, so, stamina permitting you can spend all day in there. If you plan on doing that, take a packed lunch. Fill half your rucksack slots with food, and then every so often, eat some of it. You can stay down there for longer.

Recipes

more details 		If you want to get every recipe then make sure you don’t destroy the small stones that litter your field. A couple of times I’ve done that, since it’s a good way to train up your hammer, and because I hate to have an untidy field, and I just get a little carried away. Seriously, don’t, you need one to make a baked potato (quite simple, potato + small stone) and if you’ve destroyed them all there’s no way you can make it.

Once you've upgraded your house once, you will have a kitchen. From now on, a special shopping program on Saturdays will allow you to buy new utensils. Simply watch it, then use the phone in the Inn to order items. If you don't order an item immediatly, it will be shown again, soon enough. Once you have all the items, a power berry will be sold., before you are returned to your normal Saturday programming.

Most ingredients needed for recipes are easy to find, but there are a few special ones. The only small stones (needed for a baked potato) in the game are the ones in your field. Therefore, if you destroy all of them, you cannot make this recipe. You also need chocolate for a few recipes. You can be given this by girls who like you during the Winter Harvest festival, which takes place on the 14th of Winter. Some girls will give you chocolate cake instead. Once married, your wife will give you chocolate cake, although if she doesn't like you that much (i.e, you offended her after your marriage and her heart droppped to blue) she will give you chocolate.

Fishing
Keep track of the fish you catch. Just a simple tally chart of how many of each type. That’s because there’re some fish you can only catch once you’ve got a certain amount of another fish, and the game doesn’t keep track for you. Never throw trash back into the sea, or onto the ground. Throw it in the bin, or give it to Mary (she’s studying it). That’s because there’s only a certain amount of trash in the game, so as you clear it you’re more likely to get fish. If you don’t throw it in the bin (the one in the square) it will work it’s way back to the sea and you’ll end up fishing it out again.

Crops

more details 		Crops are divided to Spring, Summer, and Fall crops. Easiest way to make money from crops is to build a hothouse and plant pineapples. Once grown, you can sell them each for 500 and there’ll be a new harvest every ten days. If you’ve upgraded your watering can enough, you can water all nine plots of land at once, and you can hire a sprite to harvest the crops in the middle of each group, rather than chop down a plant in order to get to it. There’s enough room for four 9x9 plots in the hothouse.
